If you are normally a fairly clean eater and kept to a pretty good eating plan and fell of the wagon and need a reset 1-2 days are sufficient

WEEKEND INDULDGER

If you are the type to stay pretty strict during the week and the weekends you like to put your feet up and enjoy life a little! If you are also looking for a solution to be more consistent on a 7 days basis of better eating and stay on track. Before you do this cleanse you should do a pre cleanse prep.Spend 3 to 4 days before your actual cleanse commences to rid the body of the left overs of too much caffeine, alcohol or processed foods.

If you are a typical coffee and soda drinker it is important to wean yourself off of them because of their high acidity levels before you cleanse. you may substitute with green tea if you must have anything at all. that way you ca still get some caffeine without disrupting your alkalinity levels

EAT AND DRINK MORE FRUITS AND VEGGIES!!!!

A simple way to incorporate more fruits and veggies into your diet is green smoothies(I will get to those at the end) lots of amazing recipes!!!

LEAN AWAY FROM ANIMAL PRODUCTS

In around 2 days before you start your cleanse I aim to eat strictly a plant based diet!! Meaning no meat, no eggs or dairy products.

If you are the type that eats animal products around once a day or more try your best to cut that down a week in advance.Animal products put much more strain on your digestive system. Limiting and removing these coming upon the days before your cleanse will make the cleanse easier on the body and you will get way more efficient benefits.

ELIMINATE PROCESSED FOODS

I have always been a true believer to read labels. If you cannot pronounce the words in the ingredients than you should not be eating it. You really should eliminate processed foods from your body. They lack proper nutrition to begin with and have always added vitamins and minerals that who knows where they actually came from. they are really hard on your body.

LASTLY EAT ORGANIC WHENEVER POSSIBLE!!!!

NOW ON TO CLEANSING

Great way to start your first day and beginning of everyday during to your cleanse is warm lemon water. It is an awesome way to kick start your morning beginning the cleansing process before you have even had your first sip of juice. It is an incredible liver simulate!

CONSISTENCY  IS KEY!!

 

You should be aiming to drink a juice every 2-2.5 hours. To some 6-8 juices a day may seem like a lot but if you are spacing your juices over 12 hours and your last one around 2 hours before bed your body will thank you. If you skip juices you risk being overly hungry and may be more tempted to step of course. Even if you are not showing signs of hunger at your next juice time drink it up anyways!

Depending on how through you want the body cleanse to be there are lots of ways to encourage and help the body get it all out.

Dry Brushing: It helps remove dead skin cells and opens your pores during the detox process.

Sweat it out: I am a very very high believer sweating is one of the best ways the human body and help push out toxins.

Eliminate waste: It is not uncommon to see a decrease in elimination as your cleanse continues. Less in can mean less out, but keep watch on your bodies signals if you start to experience detox symptoms such as nausea but have not yet eliminated waste from your body you may have to encourage it out with a stimulation process. DURING THE CLEANSING PROCESS

When you start juicing, you are consuming superior quality foods–nutrient-rich fresh fruits and vegetables. Your body will get to work eliminating inferior tissues and toxins; and start to build newer, healthier tissues.

For example, when you stop taking your daily stimulant “fix” such as coffee, tea or chocolate; headaches or migraines may occur. This is part of a normal cleansing and regeneration process. Your intelligent body discards toxins like caffeine or theobromine from your body tissues and transports them out of the body via the bloodstream.

Your liver and kidneys work overdrive to remove the toxins from the blood. The temporary increased toxin levels in the blood may cause side effects such as headache, joint pain or weakening of a limb. You may also experience slower heart rate which your mind may translate as lethargy, or lower energy levels.

When you encounter these symptoms, do not give up. Your body is going through a cleansing and regeneration process, which may take 7-14 days, depending on the toxicity level in your body. So some things you may experience along the way are the must chew now!!! You must ask yourself if you are truly hungry or you are just craving to chew something. If you are truly not hungry hang in there!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!

If the answer is that you are truly and honestly hungry and you really really honestly need something to get through pay attention to this!!!

Do not beat yourself up about it!!! Don’t! You can save yourself during this moment with a sensible snack. Either something like an avocado , a green salad, a piece of fruit or a small handful of nuts will not undo all the good you are doing. Have your snack and get right back on track.

So now your Juice cleanse is complete!!!! whoo hoo I am so proud of you and congratulations!!!! How do you feel??? reflect on how you now feel. and what you learned as you slowly move back into eating solid foods.

the first days you are coming off your cleanse I advised to avoid red meat, dairy, alcohol, processed and fried foods.

This is all such a great way to help with food elimination. by slowly incorporating foods back into your day by adding one item back at a time you can rule out and identify food sensitivities and allergens.

For instant if you have suspicions that you have a sensitivity to wheat, dairy, nuts or soy or anything else introduce back one at a time tis way you will be able to identify the cause.

GREEN JUICE

Ingredients
  1. 1 1/2 cups water.
  2. 2 cups kale.
  3. 2 green apples, cored.
  4. 1/2 cup parsley leaves.
  5. 1 medium cucumber, quartered.
  6. 2 celery stalks, roughly chopped.
  7. 1 (1-inch) piece of ginger, peeled.
  8. 2 Tablespoons lemon juice.

There has been much discussion on probiotics and what benefits they can provide for our health. I was approached with questions the other day about probiotics and what my thoughts were on them. Another question was asked about probiotics and people with dairy sensitivities example what options were even available to them.
I know this I thought, and realized others had heard about them but did not know what direction to go even where to start. I decided to write and explain the differences and options available to take some of the stress out of deciding whats best for you. First off is why are you taking them? It helps direct which method is best for you. Part I need to explain is the misconception of when you are to take them to benefit your body most. Do not take probiotics on an empty stomach. Probiotics are made to work and help you digest so they are to be taken with food. Depending on your needs you may need to take them with every meal. You can decide as you start what works best for you. Probiotics are helpful bacterial “bugs” that live and work within your intestines. So many times the level of helpful bacteria is reduced in the gut due to taking antibiotics, which destroy them or stress can be a factor that affects them as well. So my sister in law and I were chatting on Facebook a couple months back.
